Phoebe Hatch (b. 2004, Boulder, CO) is a painter and interdisciplinary artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. Her work explores the overlap between natural systems and human experience, how things grow, erode, and transform over time. Through layered surfaces and organic materials, she reflects on impermanence and the way matter carries memory.
Hatch is pursuing a BFA in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she also concentrates in Nature–Culture–Sustainability Studies. She has held curatorial and collections roles at the Newport Art Museum, the Providence Art Club, and the RISD Nature Lab, experiences that inform her sensitivity to materials and ecological connection.
Her work has been exhibited at the RISD Museum, the Providence Art Club, and the Dairy Arts Center, among others. In 2024, she was named an Emerging Artist at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.
